Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Journey, a personal growth platform operated by Journey Labs, LLC (“Journey,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, accessing, or using Journey, you agree to these Terms.
1. What Journey is
Journey is a platform people use to document their progress over time and see how far they’ve come.
2. Accounts
You are responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping your login credentials secure. You must provide accurate information when you create an account and keep it current. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority where you live, to use Journey.
3. Subscriptions, billing, and renewal
Access to Journey, or to certain features, may require a paid subscription. The price, billing frequency, and renewal terms that apply to you are set out in the plan you choose. Subscriptions may renew automatically unless cancelled, and cancellation and refunds are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy. Unless stated otherwise, fees are exclusive of taxes, which you are responsible for.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you create in Journey. You grant us a limited license to host, store, process, and display that content solely to operate and improve the service for you, and as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not sell your content.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to misuse Journey — including by using it unlawfully, infringing others’ rights, attempting to breach security or access accounts that aren’t yours, uploading malware, or interfering with the service’s operation. We may suspend or limit access that violates these Terms or risks harm to others or the service.
6. Availability and changes to the service
We work to keep Journey available and reliable, but we don’t guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update, add, or remove features over time. If we make a material change that reduces core functionality you’re paying for, we’ll give reasonable notice.
7. Disclaimers
Journey is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. Journey supports personal growth and reflection; it is not a medical, psychological, financial, or professional advisory service, and it is not a substitute for professional care.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Journey and its affiliates will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits or data. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service will not exceed the amount you paid us for the service in the twelve (12) months before the event giving rise to the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using Journey at any time, subject to our Refund & Cancellation Policy. We may suspend or terminate access if you materially breach these Terms. On termination, your right to use the service ends; provisions that by their nature should survive (such as ownership, disclaimers, and limitation of liability) will survive.
10. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we’ll update the “Last updated” date and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Any disputes will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California.
